Item description:

The present bracelet is an exceptional example of 1900 turn of the century or Edwadian era antique jewelry craftsmanship. The rhombus shaped tiles and tile design shows sparkling diamonds set into pierced white gold panels finely moving so as to provide maximum glamour and presence. The centerpiece is a bulgy 2.10 carat finest Burma cabochon sapphire of exceptional quality and deep electric blue color with no gemological signs of heat or other treatments . There are a total of 112 diamonds set throughout the bracelet out of which 62 are old European round brilliant cut and the remaining 50 pieces are old mine cut diamonds. All diamonds have great average G-H white color and SI clarity. Total estimated diamond weight is 4 carats. The bracelet is 180mm long (7.1”) and is 11mm (0.4”) wide and 19mm (0.7”) wide at its widest part. Gross weight is 28.6 grams of 14K white gold and has two Austrian horse head hallmarks applied at back. The clasp has two extra safety latches, so that bracelet is kept secure around the wrist with no chance of falling off. The whole piece is in an absolutely perfect condition and the sapphire origin and quality was inspected by an HRD licensed gemologist. Scarce antique jewelry collector piece and one of the rare Edwardian era diamond and sapphire bracelets and jewels. Top-shelf Burma sapphires have something one can refer to as “snap”. Like the pointed slap of a stick against a taut snare’s skin, the color of certain Burma blues has an ocular attack unlike any other in the sapphire world. Such stones have that which makes “electric blue” electric and is often compared to the blue portion of a peacock’s feather. Incidentally, this is also true for gems from Kashmir, which bear a great resemblance to the Burmese ones.
