Important Victorian era or turn of the century 6.50 carat diamond cluster earrings set in yellow and white gold. The lower cluster part is set “en tremblant” attached to an upper fixed diamond stud to give an extra sparkle. The two center diamonds are exceptionally white D/E color round old European brilliant cut with a weight of 1.60 carats each and measuring approximately 7.6mm in diameter and 4.5-4.6mm high. One of the stones is VVS1 clarity and the other is VS2. Both centerpiece diamonds are surrounded by two clusters of a total of 20 brilliant cut diamond stones and a total weight of approximately 3 carats for both earrings. All surrounding diamonds are general E color and average VS clarity. Combined with the top diamond stud and the 2 center stones the total diamond weight of both earrings is approximately 6.50 carats. The earrings measure 21mm tall and 14.5mm wide and have a gross weight of 7.1 grams. Each earring has undistinguishable markings and although they show a similar to a Russian design they are most likely of an Austrain or German make. The set comes with an original case of issue. Absolutely scarce antique jewelry / jewellery collector set and one of the important Victorian era diamond earrings of highest quality and make.
